Great weekend at the Stafford Apex Winter Meet 2021 Gala. Thank you everyone for their help! In general all swimmers performed well with lots of medals won and many swimmers gaining P.Bs, or close to PBs, along with swimmers getting close to or achieving County and/or Midland times.
Behaviour at the meet was good.
Congratulations to Radu on passing his J2 officials qualification and Sarah Allen passing her Timekeeper qualification. Next phase of training Training will be ramped up until the Christmas shut down. In January we start preparing for Counties which runs during February. I will limit the amount of speed work for Rotherham but be prepared for this speed work to get you ready for the meet.
Christmas Fun Session.
We are still waiting for a response from the Centre Manager at Freedom Leisure regarding our fun session which we hope will run on 20th December 4-6pm. If it does run, there will not, sadly, be any inflatables but Santa should still be making an appearance! If you are in the centre on Mondays 4-5pm you will see we have a lane full of new swimmers waiting to join Apex after Christmas. Please do show them how well behaved you all are......and Welcome them! At Staffordshire AGM last night Evie Bott was awarded the M. G. Evans Trophy for Outstanding Performance . Massive congratulations to Evie from everybody at Stafford Apex.
Hopefully we will have a full year of swimming in 2022.
I would just like to finish by saying THANK YOU for all your support over the last year and let's move on to 2022 !
